K12 Insight is NOT your Traditional Survey Solution!

In challenging budgetary times we are all asked to do more with less.  Many school districts have been hit hard over the past few years by budget cuts as high as 15% or more.  With spending freezes in place, districts often need to find creative ways to use their existing solutions in order to make sure they get the greatest possible value out of every purchase.

While K12 Insight’s software is most often associated with surveying parents, community members, students and staff about various district-related issues, our robust solution also has a number of other uses for school districts looking to push the envelope.

A great example is the creation of online parent registration forms.  Districts have taken a repetitive activity, traditionally conducted with pencil and paper, and have effortlessly brought it to the cloud.  Rather than asking parents to fill out the same forms year after year — with the same information about themselves and their children — districts are utilizing K12 Insight to automate this process.  When parents log into the online parent registration form, that information appears right in front of them.

Without wasting any more paper, parents can quickly scan the information they have provided in the past, make any necessary adjustments, and submit the form quickly and easily.  Parents love not being forced to re-write the same information every year, for every child, from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade.  And districts love that they can do all this without spending another dime!

This is only one of the many ways school districts are using K12 Insight beyond its scope as a traditional survey solution.  Are you using K12 Insight in interesting ways to do things you may not have envisioned?  We would love to hear about it!
