With the first day of school just around the corner, stores are filled with the latest and greatest school supplies. Kids love picking out that perfect notebook and matching animal erasers. But, unfortunately, not all students can go on extravagant shopping sprees — in fact, some are lucky to have even the most basic of supplies.

To help students in our local Virginia community prepare for the beginning of the school year, K12 Insight hosted our first Annual School Supply Drive from July 25 – August 10, 2012.

All supplies are being donated to students in Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties, through Northern Virginia Family Services.
